As we wait out the rainy days and begin to welcome spring, it's a great time to focus on the good fortune in life and appreciate the lucky moments that come our way. This month brings tons of great events to our area. Let’s take a look at the local happenings this March!
MAR 1: Livermore Half Marathon
Join in on the 12th annual Livermore Half in California’s original wine country. This unforgettable race winds through the heart of picturesque wine country, where vibrant wildlife and stunning scenery come together for an experience like no other. MAR 4: Meet Me For Lunch Day
Discover new flavors and support local businesses! The Pleasanton Downtown Association, with the City of Pleasanton, Chamber of Commerce, and Hacienda, invites you to enjoy lunch or coffee downtown every Wednesday in 2026. Explore the vibrant dining scene, connect with friends, and celebrate the community spirit of Pleasanton’s charming Main Street.
MAR 6–8: Showstopper Dance Competition
Experience a high-energy weekend of dance as talented performers from across the region take the stage! Featuring solo, duet/trio, and group routines across multiple styles and age divisions, the nationally recognized Showstopper Dance Competition offers expert judging, a professional stage, and an inspiring environment for dancers of all levels.
MAR 7: Terroir at the Table
Head to the Martinelli Event Center for Terroir at the Table, a unique culinary experience celebrating the region’s top female chefs and winemakers. Enjoy an intimate 8-course tasting menu paired with local wines, connect with the community, and support local nonprofits. Seating is extremely limited, reserve your spot for this unforgettable evening of food, wine, and celebration.
MAR 7 & 8: Livermore Valley Opera: Così fan tutte
Experience the wit, romance, and charm of Mozart’s Così fan tutte Saturday, March 7 from 2–5 PM at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. This delightful comedy of love and mistaken identities features sparkling music, clever twists, and exceptional vocal performances in an intimate setting. Tickets range from $25–$115.
MAR 9–15: Fundraiser for Paws In Need
Clean out your closets and support animals in need! From March 9–15, donate textiles through Ekolinq to raise funds for Paws In Need, helping provide critical veterinary care to pets and owners facing financial hardship.
MAR 10: Poker Tournament: Ballistic United & RAGE Soccer Scholarship Fundraiser
SideTrack Bar & Grill will be hosting a fun-filled poker tournament supporting the Ballistic United and RAGE Soccer Scholarship Funds. Your $100 ticket includes tournament play, food, and an evening of great company, all for a good cause!
MAR 12: Cab Franc Extravaganza
Celebrate the elegance of Cabernet Franc Thursday, March 12 from 5:30–7:30 PM at First Street Wine Company. Sample featured Cab Francs from five premier Livermore Valley wineries—Cuda Ridge, Las Positas, McGrail, Steven Kent, and Wood Family Vineyards—meet the winemakers, and discover your favorite style. Tastings are $30 per flight (waived with a 2-bottle purchase), followed by the chance to explore downtown Livermore’s restaurants just steps away.
MAR 13: Dublin Historical Society's Shamrock Gala
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style at the 2026 Shamrock Gala hosted by the Dublin Historical Society! Join family and friends Friday, March 13 from 6–10 PM at the Dublin Senior Center for an evening of community, fun, and festive cheer.
MAR 14: Downtown Pleasanton’s 13th Annual St. Patrick's Day Brew Crawl
Join the fun for a memorable night of beer tasting in Downtown Pleasanton, where local breweries team up for a St. Patrick's Day celebration from 5-8 PM! Guests will sample over 15 craft beers while enjoying festive Luck of the Irish activities. The event features live music, a car show, food trucks, photo booths, and more.
MAR 14 & 15: NorCal Reptile Expo
Slither, crawl, and explore March 14–15, 2026 at the NorCal Reptile Expo! Shop specialty and exotic vendors catering to beginners and expert reptile enthusiasts alike. Fun for the whole family, bring a friend and discover everything from reptiles to unique supplies.
MAR 14 & 15: City of Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Celebrate Irish spirit Saturday and Sunday, March 14–15 at the Dublin Civic Center! Enjoy live music across three stages, high-energy Irish dance performances, over 250 artisan booths in the Irish Marketplace, and an international food court with Irish favorites like corned beef sliders, bangers and mash, and boxty. Families can ride the carnival rides from 10 AM–5 PM, or relax at the Irish Tea Cottage with live music, tea, scones, and a commemorative mug.
MAR 15: McGrail Vineyards St. Patrick’s Day Party!
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Sunday, March 15 from 2–5 PM at McGrail Vineyards & Winery! Enjoy a tasting of four McGrail wines, live Irish music from CaliCeltic, and food from Marty’s Joint Food Truck featuring St. Patrick’s Day specials. Festive attire is encouraged, and seating is available first-come, first-served on the Barrel Room and Vineyard Patio.
MAR 15: Exotic Bird Mart
Calling all bird lovers! Join the Exotic Bird Mart Sunday, March 15, 2026, to see parrots, finches, canaries, cockatiels, cockatoos, poultry, and more. Browse a wide selection of accessories and supplies, or connect with sellers and buyers alike for a fun, feather-filled day.
MAR 15: St. Patrick's Day with Charmas
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Celtic band Charmas and hometown musicians Patrick Russ and Elise Ferrell at Almost Famous Wine Lounge! There will be Irish folk music, spirited instrumental sets, and a musical journey from historic Ireland to modern America. The 21+ event runs 4–6 PM on March 17, with a 3 PM bar opening, happy hour from 3–3:30 PM, and a special green cocktail. Two-drink minimum per guest.
MAR 19: San Ramon Spring Business Expo
Connect with the San Ramon community at the Spring Business Expo & Mixer Thursday, March 19 from 5–7 PM at The Bridges Golf Club. Meet local businesses, non-profits, and restaurants while networking with Chamber members. Tickets are $25.
MAR 21: Best of SF Comedy Competition
Get ready to laugh until your sides hurt Saturday, March 21 from 8–10 PM at the Bankhead Theater! Enjoy a night of stand-up comedy featuring top San Francisco comedians in a high-energy, hilarious competition. Don’t miss the nonstop laughs, grab your tickets now!
MAR 24: A Night at the Speakeasy (5th Annual!)
Step back in time for a 1920s-inspired speakeasy night at SideTrack Bar + Grill! Enjoy live jazz from the Bay Area’s Matt Finders & the Speakeasy 5, dancing, and unlimited appetizers (drinks not included). This 21+ event has limited seating, so tickets must be purchased in advance.
MAR 24: Women Who Crush It: A Women’s Wine Collective Event
Celebrate Women’s History Month Tuesday, March 24 from 5:30–7:30 PM at Concannon Vineyard with the Women’s Wine Collective of the Livermore Valley. Taste wines from 17 female-driven wineries, meet the women behind the wines, and enjoy seasonal favorites. A food truck and Bluebirds Chocolate will be on site. Tickets are $35, and a portion of proceeds benefits Tri Valley Haven.
MAR 25: Women in Business Symposium
Join the third annual Women in Business Symposium Wednesday, March 25 from 2–6 PM at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. Hosted by the Livermore Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance and Visit Tri-Valley, this event brings together local business leaders for networking, inspiration, and professional growth. Tickets are $60.
MAR 26: Matthew Morrison: Rhythms & Revelations
Experience an unforgettable evening of music, dance, and emotion Thursday, March 26 from 7:30–9:30 PM at the Bankhead Theater. MAR 26: Museum on Main: An Afternoon or Evening with Revolutionary War Spy
Step back in time with the Ed Kinney Series at Museum on Main, featuring historical character portrayals of Revolutionary War spies. Experience an engaging performance where Chautauquans remain in character throughout the show, including a Q&A, before stepping out of character to answer additional questions. A fascinating blend of history, storytelling, and interactive learning!
MAR 28–29: Livermore Valley Barrel Weekend
Discover the art of winemaking Saturday and Sunday, March 28–29 from 12–4:30 PM during Livermore Valley Barrel Weekend. Taste current-vintage wines alongside their barrel-aged counterparts, meet the winemakers, and learn about the journey of wine from barrel to bottle. Participating wineries include Arroyo Cellars, Caddis Wine, Charles R Vineyards, Concannon, Dante Robere, Favalora, Fenestra, JMC, McGrail, Rios-Lovell, and Wood Family Vineyards. MAR 28–29: Goodguys 42nd All American Get-Together
Rev up for the Goodguys 42nd All American Get-Together Saturday and Sunday, March 28–29, 2026! Explore over 3,000 American-made and American-powered show cars and trucks, catch AutoCross racing and the All American Shootout, browse a massive swap meet and vendor midway, and enjoy live music and the thrilling Nitro Thunderfest exhibition. Don’t miss the Pinstriper’s Brush Bash and all the high-octane fun!
